	Volunteer Opportunities


	There are always opportunities to help making the world a better place, and Ecuador is no exception. Volunteers are welcome for the following types of activities: teaching English or computer skills to children, providing basic health information to poor countryside areas, conservation of the environment, assisting at shelters, and so forth.

Attending the Academia was a wonderful introduction, not only to the Spanish Language, but also to the culture of the Ecuadorian people. It was an awesome experience that I plan to do again soon!

The University of Georgia's Study Abroad in Ecuador program was a rousing success thanks to you and the staff of the Academia de Español Guayasamín. Every aspect of the program exceeded our expectations.

The instructional staff were outstanding. Visits to museums and social service agencies were well planned and educationally beneficial. The Tropical dance lessons were excellent and the cooking classes suberb! Sincer our return to Georgia, several students have practiced the Salsa and at least one student fixed llapingachos for her boyfriend.

The weekend excursions provided a nice break from the hectic pace during the week. The balance between adventure, tourism and shopping in markets was great.
